Institute for youth development, KULT

Aim: Empowering youth and youth leaders from civil society organizations and political parties for more inclusive democratic processes.

How: Sweden supports the Institute for Youth Development, KULT, in their work towards creating better conditions for young women and men. KULT works directly with young activists, young politicians and youth officers employed at public administration offices. In total, 50 local communities are represented in the activities. The project also involves support to local communities by co-funding budget lines for youth entrepreneurship. Through increasing awareness and accountability towards decision-makers in addressing youth issues, the project also contributes to strengthening human and legal rights of youth. The project is expected to reach a broad group of some 6,000 community members.

Why: Empowering youth is needed to build a democratic and inclusive society.
